"Celebrate" Birthday Card

I have been going through my photos and I have been coming across lots of cards I had forgotten about.  I made this card for my amazing friend MaryAnne for her birthday.  It's an easel card; I used a really neat image by Tammy from A Day For Daisies, you can find the image HERE.  Her name is Gracie Girl and she was from the Club Kit in February 2011.

If you knew MaryAnne, you would know this is just for her.  Pink, black, bling and chandeliers.

Sympathy Cards

I really hesitate to make sympathy cards because they make me sad :o(  But a friend asked me to and so I did.

Princess Ellie

Princess Ellie is darling!!  You can go get one for yourself HERE.  All Christine's images are so fun to color and easy to incorporate into your project.

I started off piecing the background...thin strips in a chevron pattern.  I like to mix and match patterns and colors.  For some reason I color with  my Copics first and then mix the papers and create whole design second.  He..he...I think I do it all backwards :o)  I have a limited amount of Copics, so I think that is why.

I paper pieced Ellie's dress and added gloss accents to her crown.  Like I said she is so darling and so fun to color.

Ringmaster Ellie

Hi!  It's ME again (Robin)  I had fun creating three cards so I thought why not share them all?  This image is "Ringmaster Ellie" you can pick her up right HERE...The moment I saw her I was in LOVE, I knew that she would be so fun to color and she needed fun colors.  I decided on an easel card, my easel cards are generally 5.5" square.  I used fun papers in red, yellow and green.  I really need to keep track of my paper manufacturers.  I will work on it; my problem is that I used scraps when possible.  I dig through my scrap bin and then I loose track of what is what.
Anyways, here is the star of the show. She has a cute black top-hat, black boots, a yellow coat accented with rhinestones and sparkles.

Circus Clown Owen

Ok, ONE more card...
Introducing...CIRCUS CLOWN OWEN, go get him!!  He is perfect for a birthday card! I used craft stock and created a gate-fold card.  I colored Owen with my Copic markers (of course :o) He has a shiny red nose and shiny buttons.  I covered the card with a fun orange polka dots and added a green chevron striped paper as well by Basic Grey.  I added some embellishments and a fun detail made from multicolored thin metal that I coiled.
Now THIS is one clown that you just cannot be afraid of!!

Shopping For Two

I was going through some photos on my computer and found this... I like Tammy's images and I have been using them for quite some time.  This is colored with Copic Markers (of course) :o)  I used some of my favorite K&Company paper, I am Roses flowers and rhinestones.  I made an easel card that sold on etsy.  I hope the receiver enjoyed the card.

St. Patty's Day!!

I created something fun this weekend!!  Sometimes I wish I had a whole weekend to stay in my craft area and create :o)  I don't though, so I enjoy the times I do.  This weekend I created a cute little St. Patrick's Day Tee-Pee card.  These cards are more labor intensive but that give a lot of impact.  The received can display them easily and it's three-sided so there is a lot to look at.  I used a wonderful hand drawn digital stamp that you can find HERE.  You will love Christine's images!  They are fun and easy to color.

Here is a closeup of the colored image... I used Copic Markers, of course.  The card is made from a heavyweight American Cardstock in a nice blue.  I lined the paper in a cute rainbow print from K&Company along with some green polka dot paper.  I added a green cherry blossom from I Am Roses and topped it off with a red and white striped bow.

The second of the three sided card is covered with the same paper but has a sentiment "You're Better than any Pot of Gold".  I added some bows, flowers and embellishments.

The last of the three sides has a small amount of room to write a senitment of your own but has a cute "lucky YOU" sentiment attached.  I used coordinating paper, staples and I added some ribbon to the edge.

And last of all is the ability to unflold the card, flatten it out and mail it in a large envelope.

Turning Three

Isn't she SWEET??  This image is called "Turning Three", you can find the image HERE for rubber stamp or HERE for digital stamp.  Personally, I like digital, but to each his own.

I paper pieced her dress, die cut the frame with one of my Spellbinders dies, added a stamped sentiment.  I used some pearls, paper flowers and a fun ribbon.  It's a simple "WISH" sentiment, after all, don't we all secretly have a wish on our birthday?

Paper Doll Salon

Even paper dolls like to go to the salon!!! What an excellent image to use to make a card for your hairdresser or stylist.  It was fun to color and the card was fun to create!

I really must start writing down the papers I use!!  I buy what I like and then mix and match.  I generally don't buy a paper pad and use them to coordinate...strange, huh?  Of course, I used my Copic Markers, some I Am Roses flowers and a little wire for the flower stems.  This card is a 5x7 on black card stock.

The sentiment says "Ready Set Blow!"  Of course it refers to candles, but isn't it appropriate for hair too? :)

Cupcake Anyone?

I adore this darling little digital stamp by none other than The Paper Nest...you can find the images HERE. I prefer digital images for several reasons but here are the top two: 1. You can store as many of them as you would like and they don't take up ANY space in your craft room :o) 2. You can resize them very large or very small.

The cards I make are sometimes 6x6 but this one is 5x7. I can no longer pinpoint exactly which paper lines I used because I pulled scraps out of my large scrap bin. I mixed and match, but I always use my copic markers. Here are the colors I used: Her red hair: YR04, YR24, E33 Skin: E00, E11, RV11 Polka Dot Apron: R35, R39 Dress: BG13, BG15, BG10 Shoes: E51, E53, E55

The flowers are from I Am Roses, baker's twine, Nestabilities dies and a fun decorate paperclip.
The Paper Nest images are so fun to color, go take a look!!!

The Paper Nest!!

Lately, I have been making cards with some DARLING hand drawn images from The Paper Nest, you can find the images for sale on etsy HERE.  I am also proud to be a part of the The Paper Nest design team...yeah me!  I've never been part of a design team before so this is a confusing journey for me.  I love seeing someone else's take on the same image.  In addition to that, where else could you have people in one place from all over the world?  What a totally neat opportunity :o)  Thank you !

Ok, so here are some of my most recent creations with these darling new drawings...
